Real estate agents juggle spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and paper records. Shomwe wants one platform for property listings, client management, and transactions.
The real estate industry in many African markets runs on hustle and personal networks — which is great for relationships but terrible for scale. Agents manage properties across WhatsApp, track commissions in spreadsheets, and lose deals to miscommunication. Shomwe's vision is to bring professional tools to real estate agents without changing how they work. The challenge is building a platform powerful enough for serious property management but simple enough that an agent can start using it on day one. 'We're not trying to replace agents,' Robert said. 'We're trying to give them superpowers.'
Every feature solves a real problem we face daily. They're building with us, not for us.

Founder, Shomwe
We're building a real estate operating system — listings, clients, deals, and payments in one place.
Using Next.js for the web platform and React Native for the mobile app, we're creating a unified workspace for real estate professionals. Agents can list properties with photos, videos, and virtual tours. The CRM tracks client interests, viewing schedules, and communication history. The deal management system handles offers, negotiations, and document signing. We're integrating payment processing for deposits and commissions. The platform includes a client-facing portal where property seekers can browse listings, schedule viewings, and submit offers — all connected to the agent's dashboard. Behind everything sits a Node.js backend with PostgreSQL managing relationships between properties, agents, clients, and transactions. Currently in beta with real estate agencies testing the full workflow.
Beta agents report 60% time savings and 3x more properties managed per person.
Shomwe is in beta with 30 real estate agencies managing 500+ properties on the platform. Agents report dramatic time savings — what used to take hours now takes minutes. Property viewings increased by 40% because scheduling is simpler. The client portal reduces back-and-forth messaging by centralizing all property information. We're iterating based on agent feedback, adding features like automated property matching and commission tracking. The platform is evolving from a tool into an operating system for real estate businesses.
